Trains on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Union Station in Little Rock, Arkansas. Also included a few photos from the day before of a flood-delayed Texas Eagle, whose passengers had to be bussed to points south, and some streetcar shots. And I added a few of my fireworks pictures from July 4.

Here are a couple photos from the delayed July 4 train:

Texas Eagle No. 21 had left here at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, July 4, 2015 heading south toward Texas. However, when it got to Arkadelphia, heavy rains had washed out a section on Union Pacific tracks south of Prescott, Arkansas in the soutwest part of the state. So, after sitting at Arkadelphia for awhile, it was decided to back the train all the way back to Little Rock (about 70 miles). It arrived back at the Little Rock station around 8:30 p.m. and the passengers were then bussed to their Texas destinations. The last Greyhound bus, which you can see under the flags left center of photo, was loaded and ready to head to Fort Worth at 8:52 p.m. I understand that the empty train waited here until the washout was fixed around midnight and then was taken to Fort Worth to be turned to become the northbound Eagle No. 22.

Amtrak locomotive No. 151 led the train.

Here is the Greyhound bus taking the passengers to Fort Worth.
