Eight different roadnames on locomotives on Monday, April 21 and Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Union Station in Little Rock, AR, including NS, UP, CSXT, HLCX, FXE, BNSF, LRWN and GMTX. Thunder and rain moved in late in the afternoon on Monday but it was sunny on Tuesday. I got a shot of the Arkansas State Capitol and Union Station with dark clouds overhead.

SMW 540022 Wisconsin Central boxcar. Can't help the graffiti. Although I don't routinely take graffiti just for the sake of graffiti most of the time, if I seen a rare-fallen flag freight car, I'll get a picture of that car even if it has graffiti on it. I've had requests to get more photos of graffiti  and requests to not take any graffiti at all, so I compromised and only take graffiti if it's on otherwise rare cars, with only a few exceptions. like the famous Bugs Bunny autorack car painting of over a year ago.

Let's jump ahead one day to Tuesday, April 22. It's sunny, but unfortunately it's after 4 p.m. and I have to look into the sun for eastbound trains (the tracks run east-west past Union Station but are mostly southwest to northeast across other areas of central Arkansas. The official direction of trains here are northbound and southbound. This is UP 5020, 4:41 p.m. April 22. AARAS-21

Little Rock & Western's train westbound at 6:05 p.m. headed by LRWN 500, former Bay Line locomotive. The train will head to the western part of Little Rock at what's called Pulaski, where there's a small yard where LRWN stores and switches lots of freight cars, using the former Rock Island's tracks.

Again, the entire train was in the shade on the south side so I lightened it up. Sorta looks surreal. You can see The Bay Line locomotive better.

LRWN 103, a GP-9 being put back in service during the past few months.

LRWN 2017.

Front of the Amtrak station at Union Station seen in the bright sun. Normally nobody is here until Amtrak's Texas Eagles arrive, the northbound at 11:31 p.m. just before midnight and the southbound at 3:02 a.m. However, other offices of Union Station are full of people during the daytime with the parking lot full. The Bailey Corporation owns and rents the station's offices. The upper floors are very active.

I saw this in North Little Rock. According to Gary Williams from Facebook, it's a boiler. The car has two-3-axle set of wheels.

My second Ashley Drew & Northern boxcar today, ADN 9752.
