Tuesday, May 6, 2008 just west of Glidden, Texas on UP's Sunset Line. One empty gondola train today headed by UP 7532, a westbound up the hill from Glidden close to Milepost 205.
Glidden is just west of Columbus, Texas, about 90 miles west of Houston. The Sunset Limited uses this line.

LEFT-Saw this sign close to Industry, Texas today. RIGHT-Sunset line looking east. I was at an unnamed private crosssing between mp 205 and 206 west of Glidden, TX. US Highway 90 is just to the right of the tracks here.


LEFT-Looking west. RIGHT-3:27 p.m. May 6. UP's Glidden yards can be seen at the bottom of the hill.


LEFT-3:28 p.m. The overpass is US Highway 71.  RIGHT-3:35 p.m. Looks like a pretty decent grade to me.
